Our transportation department must move quickly and efficiently to make sure our customers receive the transportation services they need and expect. The Logistics Strategy Coordinator will design, build, and manage innovative systems and processes that will help our sales and dispatch teams deliver a great customer experience that exceeds expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities 

At Starr, the Logistics role covers many responsibilities with a strong emphasis on implementing new management systems, processes, and best practices, as well as supporting and improving systems already in place. The right candidate should be comfortable researching and taking part in the implementation of new software to improve the operations of the business.  Additionally, we would look to this role to make sure the business is optimizing its use of software and tools currently available to us, but not being maximized to their fullest. 


In this role, you would: 

  • Work closely with our Charter and Tours Sales teams to ensure we continually deliver the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. This includes overseeing the accurate delivery of trip information from sales to dispatch and working closely with drivers to be sure they are equipped with all pertinent information for a successful trip. 
  • Manage and support the driver recruiting and hiring process along with being actively involved in the onboarding and training of newly hired drivers.  
  • Participate in developing and implementing driver performance incentive programs and other types of retention goals. Also, lend input on driver performance and corrective action plans.  
  • Analyze and improve company/driver communications to help better facilitate timely exchange of information.  
  • Participate in regular company safety and training meetings and develop pertinent content. 
  • Manage our night cleaning operation and coordinate with our outside vendor (CCC) to ensure operations are carried on in an appropriate, efficient, and cost-effective way. 
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives as relates to the transportation department.

Qualifications for this position include the following: excellent attention to detail, general knowledge of geography and travel, computer skills, excellent communication skills, ability to problem solve, work independently, as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.


Our transportation operation operates outside of normal business hours so some after-hours on-call responsibilities are needed.


Compensation range: $55,000-$65,000 USD annually
